Overall 8 Story 9 Animation 8 Sound 9 Character 8 Enjoyment 10 As a person who read the (web) manga afterwards, I feel like it's my duty to criticize a few points in this anime. While it is one of my all time favorites, and the adaptation is impeccable, I have a few points to make. [THERE MIGHT BE SPOILERS FOR THE WEB MANGA but they were supposed to be in the anime so they're pretty minor] STORY - 9/10 It was enjoyable. Yes, it focused more on LE PLOT, but meh, it was still pretty funny. They adapted the web comic pretty well and actually added its own fun nuances and references, like the bit that mimics and parodies JJBA. One thing I'm not pleased with is the fact that the anime cut out an entire part that should have been present in episodes 24-26. I'll get to that in the character part. Native Instruments - Nki Patch(one At A Time).

11 horrible body language habits you need to quit right now. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Watch the video «[HorribleSubs] Senyuu S2 - 15 [480p]» uploaded by dm_51dbdfd598afd on Dailymotion.

ART - 8/10 From what I know, the budget here was sliiiiiightly lower, but it's still good. It's colorful like the original, I wish it wasn't so saturated, because it was a bit much at times. It fit though, so I'm not complaining. CHARACTER - 8/10 The characters are a delight.

I'd give this a full ten if they didn't cut out two characters. One's not so important but the other one IS, and it sucks.

If they're ever planning on adapting volume 2, they're going to have to go back and animate that part. [SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD, VAGUE BUT MIGHT WANT TO SKIP THE REST OF THIS PARAGRAPH] I'm talking about Neun (more commonly spelled as Noin bc of fan error) September and August. The latter, as I said, isn't as important but Neun takes center stage in the very beginning of volume 2. His introduction, I'd say, is FAIRLY IMPORTANT. This is also a very biased part of the review, lol. He's my favorite, so I'm pretty butthurt. Enjoyment - 10/10 Overall, Senyuu may be short, but it's worth every second.

It's a well adapted anime that is hilarious and easily recognizable, and it's fun to read the source material afterwards. Definitely recommend. Overall 7 Story 7 Animation 6 Sound 8 Character 7 Enjoyment 7 Senyuu 2 was the sequel of Senyuu, which was a very unique short which is mostly focused on mocking other shounens and the general fantasy setting as a whole. The season 2 somewhat deviated from the 1st as it tried to focus a bit more on story and as a matter of fact that sacrificed some of the wacky humor that the show had in the first season. It also introduces a bunch of new characters who might not be as fun as the old ones as a whole but some of them truly are very funny.

Story It still follows the hero Alba in his epic(?) journey for peace, but this time he is estranged from the Royal soldier Ross as the initial group gets separated. And the eventually has to face many new obstacles and villains to finally be reunited. What this season does is focus on the story a bit more occasionally sacrificing the gag anime like humor, specially the stuff like mocking other animes bit was almost absent from this season. And at times I had to ask the same question as the narrator does, 'Where are all the jokes?' ' In the end it still had its funny and really enjoyable moments and turns out quite fun for its short duration, but it does lack in this regard compared to the last season, so gets 7 out of 10. Characters While Alba, Ruki, Rudlof, Hime and the masochistic cat are really as fun as ever, some other old characters like Ross really went in a sad direction as they almost lost their defining characteristics due to the plot line.
